BAM / Self-Leveling Compound for Floors

Details:

• For floor leveling before final finishing

Application:

Surface Preparation:

• The substrate must be dry and solid; all cracks and voids should be filled.
• Clean the substrate of any loose or easily removable layers.
• Absorbent surfaces should be primed with SAKRET UG primer (diluted 1:2).
• Dry and especially absorbent surfaces must be primed twice!
• The leveling compound can be used on concrete and other mineral substrates.
• Do not use SAKRET BAM on gypsum or anhydrite substrates!
• When using on heated floors, turn off the heating 5 days prior and do not turn it on for 28 days after application!

Usage:

• Mix SAKRET BAM in a clean container with cold water until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is achieved.
• It is recommended to use a mixer at 600 RPM.
• After a resting time of approximately 3 minutes, remix the compound.
• Do not dilute the mixture once it has begun to set; remix with a mixer instead.
• Pour the mixture onto the surface (layer thickness ≥3 mm) and level it.
• Floor expansion joints must not be filled with the leveling compound.
• When leveling the substrate, a compressible material must be incorporated around the perimeter.
• When using the material for large-scale floor leveling, be sure to observe the intervals for floor expansion joints.

Instructions:

• The technical data refers to a temperature of +20°C and 50% relative humidity. Lower temperatures increase, and higher temperatures decrease the specified values.
• Protect the leveling compound during the curing phase from sunlight, drafts, frost, and excessively high temperatures (>25°C).
• Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
• Contains cement; reacts alkaline.
• Protect skin and eyes, and follow technical instructions. If the mixture comes into contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary.
• Protect the packaging from weather conditions, store on wooden pallets in a cool, dry place, and immediately cover any opened packaging.
