Mounting dowel for drainage membranes

Mounting dowel is used to attach fixing for drainage membranes and drainage membranes on perimeter XPS insulation made of pressure-resistant insulation material

Advantages:

• The plastic dowel has a coarse, conical thread and a TX 40 flat-head drive
• A prerequisite for an efficient application on pressure resistant XPS perimeter insulation from a thickness of 60 mm is that it is firmly bonded to the waterproofing

Application:

• Attach the drainage sheet to the complete, fully insulated surface with one dowel per m²
• The mounting dowel is equipped with a high-performance rotatable TX 40 drive (a suitable bit made of steel is included)
• Push the mounting dowels directly through the geotextile and dimpled membrane and screw into the perimeter insulation board with a cordless screwdriver; pre-drilling is not necessary. It is best to select a low torque on the cordless screwdriver in order to avoid close that the mounting dowel is overtightened

Important:

• To be on the safe side, additional mounting anchors should be set at pipe or cable breakthroughs and at light shafts
• Mounting dowel can also be used as an insulating material anchor for thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). For this purpose, the dowel is provided on its inside with a corresponding hole for 4,5mm screws. When

used in ETICS you should make sure to carefully seal the dowel edge after installation
