PVC Vario Base Bead for ETICS

The PVC Vario Base Bead is designed for horizontal alignment and secure installation of thermal insulation boards in ETICS systems.

Its adjustable two-piece construction can be adapted to the thickness of the insulation board, helping reduce the number of profile sizes required in stock. The integrated glass fiber mesh supports proper connection to the render layer and helps prevent cracking, while the extended drip nose improves rainwater runoff and limits water penetration beneath the insulation.

Installation instructions:

1. Level uneven wall surfaces using ALB-EB-DIST plastic spacers.

2. Fix the base bead at intervals of 30–40 cm.

3. Leave an expansion gap of approximately 1–2 mm between adjacent base beads.

4. Cut the profiles diagonally at corners.

5. Install the first row of thermal insulation boards.

6. Insert the second part of the system into the lower groove: the slide-on bead with drip nose.

7. Position the slide-on bead firmly against the insulation board.

8. Embed the integrated glass fiber mesh into the applied render.

9. When completing the base coat, extend the reinforcement mesh to the edge of the drip nose profile.

10. Take care when cutting to avoid damaging the profile or glass fiber mesh.

11. Use caution when driving fixing pins at temperatures below +5°C, as the properties of the PVC material may change.
