Product Overview

  • Type: Decorative render made of crushed granite and dispersion binder for building plinths, walls, and elements.
  • Standard Compliance: EN 15824:2009

Applications

  • Suitable for both interior and exterior use.
  • Ideal for decorative rendering on various vertical building components, including:
    • Plinths (including insulated ones)
    • Columns
    • Walls
  • Can be applied manually or with mechanized methods.

Properties

  • Weather-resistant and durable.
  • High resistance to fading.
  • Maintains color during use, eliminating the need for repainting.
  • Dirt-resistant and easy to clean.
  • Resistant to microbial growth.
  • Scratch-resistant.
  • Ready-to-use with no solvents.
  • Available in four granite base colors and eight tonal combinations.

Substrate Preparation

  1. Surface Requirements: The substrate must be dry, solid, and free of cracks. Clean the surface of weak or flaking layers, dust, dirt, oils, and residues that may reduce adhesion or alter the color of the decorative render.

  2. Stable Mineral Bases: Suitable for stable mineral substrates like concrete and cement-based renders (CS II, CS III, and CS IV).

  3. Wood-based Panels: For particleboard and fiberboard, prime with SAKRET UG concentrate.

  4. Gypsum Boards: Prime with diluted SAKRET UG (1:5 ratio with water) or SAKRET BG.

  5. Repairing Uneven Surfaces: Use leveling renders, putties, or repair compounds as needed.

  6. Priming: Prior to applying SAKRET GAP, prime with SAKRET QG. For dark colors, it is advisable to tint the primer accordingly.

Application Instructions

  1. Mixing: Always mix the render before use using a mixer with 600 RPM.

  2. Application: Apply using a stainless steel trowel held at an angle, ensuring the layer thickness matches the aggregate size. Smooth the surface after application.

  3. Temperature: Ideal application temperature is between +10°C and +25°C. At +20°C and 65% relative humidity, the surface will be touch dry in 24 hours and fully cured in 2-3 days.

  4. Drying Process: The render dries physically by forming a dispersion film and evaporating water. Low temperatures and high humidity will prolong drying time.

  5. Avoid Sunlight: Do not apply to surfaces exposed to direct sunlight during application.

  6. Water Exposure: Avoid using on surfaces with damaged horizontal or vertical waterproofing that are subjected to constant and prolonged water exposure.

  7. Protection During Drying: Protect the applied surface from rain, strong winds, and rapid drying to prevent visual and mechanical damage.

  8. Substrate Moisture: Should be ≤2%.

Additional Instructions

  • Do not mix with other materials or dilute with water, as this may alter the technical properties of the render.
  • Clean tools with water immediately after use.
  • The render should not be used for surface leveling.
  • Moisture from the substrate can damage the render.
  • Avoid using products from different production batches on the same surface to prevent color discrepancies due to natural variations in fillers.
  • Do not freeze!
