Fiber-Reinforced Mortar

  • Composition: Reinforced with polypropylene fibers.
  • Maximum Particle Size: 1 mm.
  • Cement Content: Does not contain cement.
  • Intended Use: Designed for the top finishing layer on HML-4 plaster.
  • Applications: Suitable for new and renovated buildings.
  • Restoration: Applicable for the restoration and repair of loose and porous plaster.
  • Compatibility: Suitable for use on old lime plasters.
  • Properties: High water vapor permeability; excellent resistance to temperature fluctuations; excellent adhesion to the substrate.
  • Environmental Impact: Environmentally friendly; easy to handle.

Application:

Surface Preparation:

  1. Cleanliness: The surface to be renovated must be dry and free from dirt, grease, lichens, and paint.
  2. Mechanical Removal: Alkyd-based coatings must be mechanically removed from the entire surface.
  3. Joint Cleaning: Gaps and brick masonry joints should be thoroughly cleaned of atmospheric dirt.
  4. Surface Integrity: Loose parts should be removed until reaching the firm surface layer.
  5. Material Removal: Cracked and heterogeneous materials are recommended to be removed mechanically or with a high-pressure washer.
  6. Salt Damage: The layer of old plaster damaged by salts must be cleaned 1 m above the upper line of efflorescence.
  7. Priming: Treat the old plaster with primer SAKRET TGW.
  8. Product Consistency: SAKRET HML1 is a material of loose consistency.
  9. Mixing Method: The mortar can be prepared using a mixer, concrete mixer, or the preparation techniques offered by SAKRET SERVISS.
  10. Mixing Time: Mix for 3-5 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
  11. Layer Thickness: From 3 to 12 mm.
  12. Prohibited Additives: Do not add lime, cement, or any additives improving the properties of the concrete to the dry mixture.
  13. Equipment: Do not use dirty equipment for preparing the plaster, and do not use bags stored in unsuitable conditions or previously opened bags.
  14. Temperature Conditions: Technical data refers to a temperature of +20°C and 50% relative humidity. Lower temperatures increase, while higher temperatures decrease the indicated values.
  15. Curing Conditions: During the curing phase, protect from sunlight, drafts, and excessive temperatures (>30°C).
  16. Rain Protection: Fresh adhesive must be protected from rain and rapid drying.
  17. Important Note: Once the mortar starts to set, do not add more water!
  18. Cleaning Tools: Immediately after mixing the mortar, wash the containers and tools with water.
  19. Cured Mortar Removal: Cured mortar can only be removed mechanically.
  20. Chemical Composition: Contains lime, reacts alkaline.
  21. Safety Precautions: Protect skin and eyes; follow technical instructions. If the mortar comes into contact with the eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary.
  22. Storage: Protect the packaging from weather effects; store on wooden pallets in a cool, dry place; immediately cover any opened packaging.
