FKW / Tile Adhesive Extra

Details:

• Suitable for marble elements, decorative tiles, glass mosaics, ceramic and stone mass tiles, stone cladding panels, fireplace tiles, and clinker tiles and slabs.
• For tiling on gypsum board, old tiles, and SAKRET OAD Elastic waterproofing.
• Can be applied in thin and medium layers.
• Usable on heated floors.
• Frost and moisture resistant.
• Cement-based.
• White color.

Application:

Surface Preparation:

• The substrate must be dry and stable, with all cracks and voids filled.
• Clean the substrate from less durable or flaking layers.
• Roughen especially dense and/or smooth surfaces.
• Prime the surface with SAKRET UG primer (diluted at a ratio of 1:3). Very smooth concrete surfaces should be primed with SAKRET QG primer.

Usage:

• Mix SAKRET FKW in a clean container with cold water until a homogeneous mixture without lumps is formed.
• It is recommended to use a mixer with 600 RPM.
• After a maturation time of approximately 3 minutes, mix again.
• Cover as large an area as can be tiled within 15 minutes in one application.
• Do not fill expansion joints with tile adhesive.
• Cured tile adhesive can only be removed mechanically.

Instructions:

• Technical data apply at +20°C temperature and 50% relative humidity. Lower temperatures increase, while higher temperatures decrease the indicated values.
• Protect the adhesive during the curing phase from sunlight, drafts, frost, and excessively high temperatures (>25°C).
• Contains cement, reacts alkaline.
• Protect skin and eyes; follow technical instructions. If the mixture gets into eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary.
• Protect the packaging from weather effects, store on wooden pallets in a cool, dry place, and immediately cover opened packages.
