SAKRET KAM / Adhesive and Reinforcement Compound for Stone Wool and Expanded Polystyrene Insulation Boards

• Suitable for:
  • Bonding and reinforcing stone wool and expanded polystyrene insulation boards.
  • Filling gas concrete and silicate blocks.
• Base: Cement-based.
• Reinforced with: Polypropylene fibers.
• Enhanced with: Adhesive and elasticity improving additives.
• Working time: Relatively longer.
• Properties:
  • Vapor permeable.
  • Water and frost resistant.
  • White in color.

Application Instructions

Surface Preparation:

• The substrate must be dry and solid, with all cracks and voids filled.
• Clean the surface from less durable and/or loose layers.
• Treat particularly dense and/or smooth surfaces with abrasive material.
• For highly absorbent surfaces, prime with SAKRET BG primer or SAKRET UG primer (diluted in a ratio of 1:3).

Reinforcement of Insulation Boards:

• Apply SAKRET KAM on the insulation board in an even layer (up to 5mm), draw with a notched trowel, embed the alkali-resistant reinforcement mesh into the compound, and smooth with a flat trowel so that the reinforcement mesh is completely covered with SAKRET KAM.
• If the insulation board is made of mineral wool, pre-treat the surface of the board with SAKRET KAM.

Bonding Insulation Boards:

• If the wall is flat (irregularity <10mm/m), apply SAKRET KAM with a notched trowel (tooth size - 10mm) over the entire surface of the insulation board and press it onto the substrate.
• If the wall is uneven, apply SAKRET KAM to the edges of the insulation boards (approximately 5cm wide and 2cm high) and place 6 dots of material on the surface of the boards before pressing it against the wall.
• If the insulation board is made of mineral wool, pre-treat the surface of the board with SAKRET KAM.

Chemical Composition:

• Cement, special inert additives, auxiliary materials, and additives to improve processing properties.
